FAQ
Q. What is the cloud?
A. The cloud is a synonym for the modern version of the internet, roughly speaking. The term cloud computing refers to services provided over the internet. A number of technological advances to software have made it possible to deliver internet-based services; chiefly, virtualisation. This has transformed the potential of the internet beyond its origins as a redundant network for connecting computers. The internet is now a platform for delivering services of all kinds.
Q. What is the difference between software-as-a-service, infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service?
A. Software services provide an application to employees to use. Infrastructure and platform services are operated by IT administrators and engineers only, usually to support an application.
